****UPDATE****
May 7, on a 4 lane highway, while riding in the right lane, a driver in the left lane fell asleep, drifted into the median, woke up, and over corrected, slamming into me at 68mph. Both me and the bike went flipping into the air, and I landed in the ditch, with 4 broken toes, road rash covering my entire stomach, a chunk of my right knee missing, and my left heel had the skin pulled off, along with various other scrapes and bruises. The bike is totaled, after 2 months of riding, and the guys insurance barely paid it off. It will be several months after my surgery in June, before I can walk or ride again, but rest ured I will be back on a bike!
Ride safe everyone, and keep an eye on all the drivers out there.

And I do plan on upgrading the pipes to a set of Vance and Hines Big Shots 2 into 2′s.

Sorry about the accident. I have a identical 2008. Can’t say I love it, it does not ride like a Harley. I had never driven a bike with the evolution motor before I bought the 2008. It runs great, yes, but there are almost no vibrations. It feels like I’m riding a Yahama. Also, the bike comes with very quiet pipes. Fuel injection means the motor runs very lean, so it is prone to overheat in the hot Texas weather.

It certainly does! 6th on that bike can be thought of as overdrive, thats where you are going to get your gas mileage. If I was just going fast, I never shifted to sixth until about 70-75 mph.

Haha I don’t know about over there, but here in America, Harley Davidson offers a Riders Edge class for $300(US) that teaches you everything you need to know over several days. I had no clue how to ride when I started the class, but I managed to make it through, pass the test, and get my license! If you are seriously interested in learning, Try looking around and see if someone local offers one of these classes. I don’t know how hard it is to get a motorcycle license over there though.

I rented an 09 with …
I rented an 09 with only 120 miles on it. 6 speed transmission gives tremendous control. engine was lugging at 65 in 6th. Hope to ride again soon.
