I own a 2007 2 ...
I own a 2007 2 wheel drive Patrol and only a $4.76 flasher for the signal lights has kept it from being 100% trouble free bike in over 8,000 miles. The newer models have so many upgrades that the poor dependability is a thing of the past. I've given rides to friends from 9 years old to a birthday ride for a lady on her 82nd birthday. It brings a smile to people who just see it going down the road. What can be better than that????

"Russian-made" and ...
"Russian-made" and "Reliable" usually are not used in the same sentence.

But from what I hear, these are (usually) the exception

To anyone who's ...
To anyone who's interested, buy a Ural, not a Chiang Jiang. The Russian bikes are OHV, have an alternator, and electric start. Chiang Jiangs have half the horsepower due to being flatheads, have a magneto, and are kick only. The Chinese have not updated the bike from the original BMW design from the 30's, the Russians have.

My brother and I ...
My brother and I inherited my dad's Gear Up, and now, my brother is looking to sell his Honda CBR so he's got more time to ride the Ural. It gets looks and smiles everywhere we ride it. Also, it is for tough, it sat outside, under a cover, all winter, and still started right up in May.

Why don't car ...
Why don't car manufacturers do more of this? Making new cars that look like older cars. I am seeing motorcycle companies doing it, but you never see car companies doing it. I'd pay more for a classic-looking new car.
