The only thing McCain will ever be president of is the hair club for men.

by the way McCain has voted to keep open the Enron Loophole which allows the speculators to drive up the cost of gasoline.

I’m lost. Why is gas going to automatically go down if McCain is elected? I think someone is shoveling you some crap.

If you think it is "time for some excellent leadership" why would you celebrate a McSame presidency? Have you been asleep for the last eight years?
Since your question is based on two false assumptions (that McCain will be elected, and that gasoline will drop below $3/gallon again), no meaningful answer is possible. It is long past time for the US (and the developed world, at least) to get off the fossil fuel addiction and move aggressively into other sources of energy.
I for one like McCain’s idea of a major prize for the developer of an economically viable and workable electric car. (Yes, I know his suggestion is just for a battery, but it could be better defined.)
When there are more vehicles on America’s roads using non-fossil fuels than those that continue to pollute and drive us into depression, THAT’S when I’ll celebrate!

First of all you’ve chosen the wrong one for President and it will never happen no matter who gets in. McCain and his consultants will never let it go down ( after all the work they did in the past to raise it)

I will want more of those wonderful drugs that have deluded me into believing that gas prices are that low.

I don’t think either McCain or Obama will have too much to do with the price of gas in the short run. It will depend on the Arabs producing more. In the long run, it will depend on green policies that will reduce the Western world’s dependence on gas, thus weakening the terrorists’ source of money.

You seem to forget that gas prices along with the continue economic decline has occured under Bush’s watch.
Remember how much you were paying for gas the 8 years that Clinton was in office?

Hey there HD! Great question as always!

You make very valid points all around. Everyone knows that gas prices will go down if McCain gets elected. No doubt about it since he has already asked to repeal the gas tax this summer. That will allow for people to buy more gas and it will have a HUGE impact on the economy as well.

However, I will still be voting for the Obama/Hillary ticket. All that excess cash that we are paying for gas is going into socially responsible programs like gay marriage, sunshine, people who don’t feel like working (God Bless ‘em!) and of course, having a Clinton in the White House once again is something everyone wants to see again!

Ride Proud!
